CROSSPLANE – ROCK ’N’ ROLL FROM THE RUHR AREA

Heavy riffs. Gritty vocals. A groove that gets you moving.

CROSSPLANE come from Germany’s Ruhr area and play rock ’n’ roll with punk attitude, metal muscle and choruses made to be shouted back at the stage. Frontman Marcel “Celli” Mönnig’s unmistakable rasp cuts through a sound built on driving guitars, a tight rhythm section and a shared appetite for playing live.

Over hundreds of shows, the four-piece have earned their stripes on the road. Their live history includes shows supporting Black Label Society, tours with Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons and J.B.O., and festival appearances at Wacken Open Air and Full Metal Holiday. From packed clubs to festival stages, their approach stays the same: give everything and get the crowd involved.

Their five-album journey runs from Class of the Hellhound High through Masturboned, Backyard Frenzy and Fastlane to Mother’s Monster (2025).

Created with producer Waldemar Sorychta and mixing and mastering engineer Dennis Köhne, Mother’s Monster takes the band into darker, more personal territory. Celli confronts childhood experiences and inner demons, giving the songs an emotional weight that matches their impact. Axel Hermann’s cover artwork brings those themes into focus.

On stage, that intensity meets the sheer pleasure of turning up, plugging in and playing loud. The connection with their fans — the Hellhounds — is at the heart of it: familiar faces, first-time listeners and voices coming together in the chorus.

Straight from the Ruhr area. See you down the front.
